Monroe Township Track Stars

Monroe Track Stars is a program within the recreational program of Monroe Track.  It is for special athletes who are in grades K-12.  We provide the special needs athletes with a buddy if needed and adult coaches who understand special needs issues.  We enable special needs runners to participate as fully as possible within a similar group of recreational runners.  We encourage all athletes to try each area and see where they excel.

Who:  Special Athletes who are Monroe or Jamesburg residents grades K-12 who want to learn a new recreational sport with positive coaching supports.

What: Track Stars starts at 6:00pm and ends at 6:45pm.  In small group setting with younger children they have the freedom to be themselves. We supervise and directly instruct them in Track basics each week.  If they are older and able to stay through the second session they continue to reeat the track activity with the older group until 8:00pm.

Where: In January we start in Brookside School Gym.  After Spring Break we move outside to the High School track.  Please note:  If there is NO SCHOOL - THERE IS NO TRACK.

When: January - June - Monday nights 6-8pm

Fee: There is a $20.00 registration fee for Monroe Residents and $40.00 registration fee for Jamesburg Residents.  Please make schecks payable to Monroe Recreation
